Who we are?
We are a Chilean foundation that seeks to improve the quality of life and social inclusion of people with disabilities, by giving them personalized and functional prosthetics, which are made with 3D printers in collaboration with some juvenile correctional centers through our joint program with the government, generating a virtuous circle and better world.
Programs
Empowering for freedom
Because by helping others you can change their lives! We collaborate with the National Juvenile Correctional Service, so they can resigbify their lives by printing 3D prosthetics in our workshops and that way helping others.
Printing Dreams
We want to empower people with disabilities, trough the sustainable fabrication and giving away of mechanical, functional and personalized 3D printed prosthetics, each one including a rehabiitation process and follow up for every beneficiary.
Our History
3D Prosthetic Foundation was born out of the willingness of 3 young engineers that wanted to make a change in Chile through innovative ideas to build a better and more inclusive world. One day surfing the web they saw a young girl´s story receiving a 3D printed prosthetics and the joy on her face shocked them. That small thing triggered them to buy a 3D printer and start learning by themselves how to print and build a prosthetic arm, like the one they gave to Dominga, a little girl who was born without is hand.
Dominga’s happiness was the spark that they need to become this project into the purpose of their life, to work for the social inclusión, and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.
The day a day we work to empower more people and young convicts, who helps us in the manufacture, to create a better world with 3D printings and a lot of love with hard work.
